Our “Hill Walking: Nature & Navigation” six-day holiday is a leisurely stroll and look at rural, historic and natural life within the Alpine Natural Park in the heart of the longest valley in Italy, namely Val di Susa. The holiday offers three individual guided expeditions included in a break from Sunday to Saturday, for groups of three to five people, and inclusive of all accommodations, food and wine.
This hill walking holiday is designed to be a great introduction to mountain life, self-sufficent living, Alpine lifestyle and will combine local traditions, some Roman to Partisan history, local cuisine and wines, navigation at a leisurely pace, and learning some basic fieldcraft skills including providing heat and light without electric or gas, and finding fresh drinking water on the mountainside.
The six day treking holiday takes place within beautiful surroundings with idillic panoramic views of the Susa Valley, which is home to some of the best wildlife in Europe – vipers, eagles, falcons, deer and wild boar are just some of our local inhabitents. Please be sure to bring your cvamera
Guests will need to make their own way to our basecamp near Bussoleno in Val Susa, Italy, which is easily accessible by public transport (train and bus) from Turin Casalle or Milan Malpensa airports. The holiday offers our guests campsite accommodation at the basecamp with use of the FlowCasa Bunkhouse facilities, as well as mountainside “Refuge” accommodation at the higher altitudes.
